BIO
Husband, Father, Author, Teacher
Joseph Lewis was born in Washington, D.C., and attended Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia. He is a graduate of Villanova University, holds a master's degree in theology from the Graduate School of Theology at Christendom College, and has done doctoral work in theology at Catholic University.
He currently resides in Exton, Pennsylvania, with his wife Marian, and together they have raised six children and have two granddaughters. Aside from his writing, Joe teaches high school history and theology and has taught theology and bioethics at the university level.
His first book, The Ghosts of Westthorpe Academy, was published in 2018, followed by the award-winning sequel, Miracle at the Mission (published in 2022), the second book of The Westthorpe Academy Mysteries series. Joe is currently working on the third book of the series to complete the trilogy, so stay tuned!
Joe also writes articles and feature stories (see blog on this site) and has been published in The Sport Digest. He won the 2024 Jackie Mitchell Creative Nonfiction Award for his published article in the literary baseball journal, The Twin Bill.
